在亚马逊销售商品，卖家必须严格遵守当地法律和亚马逊的受限商品政策。违规不仅可能导致商品下架、账号被暂停，甚至还会面临法律责任。因此，熟悉这些规则是每一位卖家保护账号和业务的第一步。
在亚马逊上，被禁止出售的商品统称为受限商品。之所以会被限制，是因为：
当地或联邦法律的规定
监管机构（如 FDA、EPA、FCC 等）的要求
亚马逊制定安全与合规政策
这些规则的目的，是为了确保消费者在亚马逊上购买的商品安全、真实并且合法。
可以上架的商品：某些商品，只要卖家提交相关文件并通过亚马逊审核，即可销售。（例如：创可贴、汽车电池、护肤品）
完全禁售的商品：某些商品因法律或政策原因禁止销售。（例如：真枪与子弹、整车、用过或过期的化妆品）

一般来说，受限商品，主要指四种类型的产品：
法律禁止（枪支、烟草、受污染补充剂）
虚假宣传（宣称能治癌的维他命）
本身存在争议性的商品（例如带邦联旗帜的产品等）
亚马逊平台明令禁售（枪支、烟草、印有反叛旗帜或不雅标语的服装）
受地区法律限制，只能在部分地区销售。(例如胡椒喷雾剂、伞刀等禁止销售于美国纽约州、马萨诸塞州等地区）
需要提供资质或文件，合规后才能卖。( 美国杀虫剂 → EPA 注册需要提供资质或文件，合规后才能卖)
受跨境监管限制，部分产品不能跨境销售。(例：白炽灯泡)
