Accessorize Watches are made by the world famous Monsoon Accessorize company. In May 1973 Monsoon was founded, the founder wanted to bring diverse exotic clothing to sell in the U.K.. he began his journey years before selling shaggy wool coats on Portobello road and hand block printed clothes from Rajasthan. He sourced clothes from all over the world with a focus on Asia and the Middle East. The unusual clothing styles quickly became popular enabling him to open a Monsoon store in Knightsbridge, London in 1973. This store was an instant success and in the following decades many more stores have opened throughout the U.K. and, more latterly, across the world. There are now over 1000 Monsoon stores world wide.
Monsoon have a reputation for providing good quality well priced goods. They choose their suppliers for their reliability and guaranteed quality. Monsoon also insist that all of their suppliers sign up to the Ethical Trading Initiative (E.T.I.). This initiative including companies, non-governmental organisations and trade union members demands, amongst other things, that workers in any country are treated fairly, paid reasonable wages and are able to work in good conditions. Monsoon joined the Ethical Trading Initiative when it first began, they say that it represented the values that they already had. Monsoon Accessorize produce a variety of different clothes, for men, women and children, as well as Accessorize Watches, jewellery, bags, scarfs and hats. Their large product range has made them an essential part of the English High Street.
Monsoon are reknowned for their great products and their great values. They believe that it is necessary to practice what you preach, in this ilk they have started a charitable trust called the Monsoon Accessorize Trust. This charity aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged women and children in Asia. They also sponsored Estethica at London Fashion Week 2010, the British Fashion Council's initiative to promote eco-sustainable fashion. So any Accessorize Watche is amde to this same standard.
Accessorize started life as a range of accessories in the early 1980's. The range became exceptionally popular and Monsoon decided to create a stand alone store in which to sell their accessories.
