Gaterocket, FPGA, Tool, Vendor FPGA tool vendor GateRocket folds

SAN FRANCISCO—FPGA verification and debug software vendor GateRocket Inc. has apparently ceased operations.

EE Times blogger Brian Bailey reported earlier Wednesday (Aug. 3) that GateRocket shut its doors last month. Company representatives did not immediately respond to request for confirmation. GateRocket's website has been stripped of most information.

GateRocket was founded in 2004 to create and market tools for making FPGA design easier. The company marketed RocketDrive, developed to solve debugging problems with the traditional FPGA design process. The device is said to bridge the gap between the RTL/abstract-level software simulation domain and the physical FPGA.
