As such, one of their most popular watches is the Navitimer chronograph. This watch, which was first built back in 1952, is the world's longest continuously produced chronograph. As you can imagine, any watch that lasts this long has to be special.

The Navitimer is a COSC certified wrist watch. The COSC, which stands for Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, is the Swiss organization that evaluates Swiss watches. Their evaluations ensure a watch meets the Swiss standard for precision and accuracy.

As with practically any watch, the Navitimer provides its users with the standard functions of telling time with the hour, minutes, and seconds hands. Additionally, this model uses a rotating dial aperature to provide the current date.

This watch also uses Breitling famous Breitling 23 Caliber mechanical movement to move the watch hands. Additionally, the model has 25 jewels, a glare proofed crystal for viewing, and a 42 hour power reserve. The last technical specification that is worth discussing is that the mechanical movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour.

This watch comes in 3 different versions. The first version consists of a steel case with a black dial and silver subdials. This version comes with a leather strap that fastens together in a tang-type buckle.

The second version comes in a steel and 18 karat gold case. This beautiful watch has a silver dial with golden subdials. This version has a leather strap that also fastens together in a tang-type buckle.

The last version comes in an 18 karat gold case. This version has a black dial with silver subdials. Additionally, it has a Croco strap and fastens together with an 18 karat gold tang-type buckle.

As this article has proven, Breitling truly does makes absolutely stunning watches. For the smart investor, now is the time to acquire one, as these are sure to be collector items in the future.
